In an industry over-saturated with keyboard-replicated instruments and auto-tuned vocals, it’s refreshing to hear hip-hop recording artist Proxy walking to the beat of his own drum down a road less traveled. Born Lewis Brown, Jr. in 1979 in The Mile High City of Denver, Proxy’s first cry was music to the ears of an already established fan base—his proud parents. They raised him in a home highly devoted to God, sowing spiritual seeds within Proxy that he continued to nourish, especially after the eye-opening, life-changing tribulations he endured. Thankful that those struggles built his character and birthed his spirit of empathy, he took the initiative to fulfill his calling to uplift those who feel down by melodically sharing the wisdom he’s acquired
