Melinda McGlasson was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was adopted by Ralph and Sandra Heiney at the age of one month from the Owasso Baptist Children’s Home in Owasso, Oklahoma. She was an only child where she spent most of her childhood years in Adair, Oklahoma. Her Father was a Baptist minister. The Church was a place she felt very comfortable. At an early age she began playing the piano and singing. She surrendered her life to the Lord at the age of thirteen and began leading Bible studies at her school. Melinda began feeling the call to sing and write music for the Lord early on. Her earliest accomplishments were performing for state wide school conventions and singing at the Capital in Washington DC for all of the Nations leaders.

As she grew older, she attended Northeastern A & M College on a full ride music scholarship. She later attended Victory Bible College to receive her degree in worship and pastoral studies. She led worship for Victory Bible College and sang with the team at Victory Christian Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma where she traveled several times leading worship with the team along side Sharon Daughtery and the late Billy Joe Daughtery. Melinda went on to pursue a Bachelors degree in Professional Counseling from Mid-American Christian University.

Melinda has served as the lead worship pastor for several churches but most recently at Lifeway Christian Center in Guymon, Oklahoma for 10 years. She serves along side her husband, Dallas who is the Senior Pastor for Lifeway. They have three boys, Isaiah, Grayson and Blake.

Melinda also carries an US National License with the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel. This allows her to not only be recognized as a minister of the gospel locally but world wide. She leads worship weekly with her team Lifeway Worship. The team released an independent album, “Refine Me,” in October 2015. Melinda released an album with Redemption World Records, “Spirit Break Out,” in April 2016.

In August 2017, Melinda joined the Creative Soul Records in Nashville, TN and began working on her new single, “Trust Him.”
