Darmea is an up and coming Christian music artist. Darmea was born in Chicago, she moved to Atlanta when she was 4 years old and now resides in Colorado Springs, CO. Darmea has been singing ever since she can remember and gets inspiration from all types of music. It started off with 4 year old Darmea singing, “Part of Your World”, at her kindergarten graduation. Ever since, she knew she wanted to make an impact on the world for the better. She was still very shy up until the age of 12, when she sang for her middle school talent show. Once Darmea saw the response from different people, she knew how she wanted to go about impacting others and making a change. She has been perfecting her craft ever since, starting by listening to her mother’s choir rehearsals to singing and leading worship at her church. She enjoys worship music, gospel, blues and jazz. These genres all influence her style of writing.
Originally doing shows in downtown Atlanta, she is now in Colorado pushing the goal of bringing hope, love, compassion and inspiration to others by way of music and art. She is driven by the scripture Matthew 5:13-14 (we are the salt of the earth and light of the world). Darmea has a heart for the nations and feels a gifting shouldn’t be just for one specific cultrure or nationality but to reach people all over the world. Darmea is currently working on new music and is excited for what lies ahead.
